We posted last week about a favorite design element–or rather pair of design elements: wood + white. Drool. Well, how about some wood, with some more wood, combined with wood, with just a hint of wood and some neutral taupe to create a drop dead gorgeous earthy, monotone space? The Small House by Maryann Thompson Architects might not be colorful, but it’s got our vote all the same. Much, much more photographs found on the website.

This is really beautiful. The setting is key; I don’t think it could be effectively transplanted into a more urban backdrop. However in this context it’s perfect.
I just love wood in interior decoration. It brings life to the space as well as interest no piece of wood looks same as the next one. Great architecture and design!
