We’ve written about Katie Kirk’s cheerful, retro-styled illustrations before (here and here), and it’s no surprise that her new endeavor with fellow illustrator (and husband) Nathan Strandberg is, well, utterly fantastic. Eight Hour Day is the design studio of this extremely talented duo, whose portfolio is worth fully exploring. What I really love, though, is the brand identity they designed for their studio and their One Year project, a “yearlong journey in search of inspiration” wherein they travel across the U.S. for an entire year. You can read all about it right here. The color scheme, design, and idea behind it all is so unapologetically cheerful – something I am always drawn to!
