I`m a big fan of British designer Max Lamb and his exquisite creations. Usually one-off projects and with a very conceptual foundation, they have interesting stories behind them. And, although Max’s works aren`t quite affordable and have a sculptural status, he does share his knowledge in a very democratic way.
He uploads videos showing the production processes of his pieces, a not to miss for the design-savvy. I love this open source thing, and the idea of sharing instead of hiding.
Here are a couple of my favourites:
La Cernia Limestone Chair from Max Lamb on Vimeo.
Concrete Stools – Solids of Revolution from Max Lamb on Vimeo.
