Trend: Naked Bulbs

Modern Decor

With wintery weather gripping many parts of the nation, it’s incomprehensible to think that anything, even an inanimate object, would dare go nude with these sorts of temperatures. Though we certainly try to encourage warm coverups and chunky knitted things this time of year, one interior trend has us cat-calling for the covers to come off: naked and exposed light bulbs.

What simplicity, the naked bulb. It’s almost the sincerest form of respect for an invention that completely transformed what it means to be an American (we’re only mildly annoyed this means we have to work after the sun goes down). The naked light bulb is a symbol of stripping away not only the decorative ornamentation of our lives, but also proof that it’s okay to just be yourself.

Hah! You’re right…tons of other countries do have electricity! Sometimes when bloggers are trying to be witty we slip on wildly inaccurate sentences. Touche!
