Marina Bautier :: Industrial Design

Modern Decor

Wood Series - produced by FELD

After studying furniture design at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College in the UK, industrial designer Marina Bautier set up shop in her home town of Brussels.  Since establishing her studio in 2003, she’s designed for companies all over the world, including Swedese (SE), Idée (JP), Ligne Roset (FR), Case Furniture (UK) and Feld (BE).

Cruiser - produced by Swedese

One of my favorite pieces is the Cruiser Chair, a folding lounge chair made of oak and steel, which was designed for Swedese in 2009.  Her entire portfolio is impressive, though, so be sure to check it out here.

    Wow! I love how the pieces are so simplistic, yet so beatiful and modern at the same time!

    I agree! It’s interesting to see her distinct style come out over the years (the images above cover some of her work from 2006 – 2010).
