DIY: Hanging Shoe Rack

Categories: DIY + How To

Happy New Year! Welcome back to the 2Modern Design Blog. Did you have a great holiday season? Are you raring and ready to make your house the best home it can be this year? Let’s start out with a DIY project that will bring a little organization into the very start of your home, shall we?

The entryway—the first thing your guests see when they come over and the first thing you see after a long, hard day at work. Keep it uncluttered and keep the rest of your home staying cleaner longer by building these sweet, modern-looking hanging shoe racks in your entry (as seen on Curbly).

We’ve perused the instructions of this project, and though you’ll need some tools and a little tool how-to, it’s pretty simple and straightforward if you can wield a screw driver and cut wood to the right measurements. Give it a look and see if your entryway (or bedroom or closet?) could use this awesome how-to project!

  1. Happy New Year! I found your blog only a couple of months back and love it so much, I’ve been stopping by as often as I can to enjoy your posts and the inspiration you offer! Hope you have a fantastic 2011!

  2. Simply adorable. I admire the concept of this design. I’m planning to have that concept too. Mine is the usual one which looks like a cabinet storage. This is the modern type of shoe rack bench. Indeed a smart post. Love it. Cheers!

  3. That was a simple design of that shoe rack, yet so unique. It is so easy for the shoe to get on the rack. I will ask for a carpenter to build a shoe rack like this.

  4. This hanging shoe-rack is less space consuming. I really need it for my room.
