Perhaps one of our favorite things about modern art is the blurring of boundaries and lines between genres. Hardly anyone is just a “painter” or just a “illustrator” anymore. Artists nowadays treasure collaboration and go where the creative breeze takes them—and today’s featured artist is no different. A graphic designer and illustrator by trade, Will Bryant’s art is hard to describe and even harder to categorize, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Collages. Witty screen-printed phrases. Watercolor. Geometric drawings. Looking through Will’s dizzying yet invigorating website, you see a lot of work in a number of different media. This makes his work creative, charming and delightfully tongue-in-cheek. Having shown in galleries dotted around the country, Will’s most important collaboration might be with the other creative folks behind Public School, a neat design collaborative based in Austin, Texas (yeah, we’ve posted about them here, too). But how about we stop yacking and let Mr. Bryant’s work speak for itself?
