We came across a striking photo of a man on the Sartoralist blog the other day. He was simply dressed, in a pinstripe blazer and black shirt. He just looked so darn…classic. Although pinstripes aren’t necessarily “big” in the fashion world right now, they are a mainstay that is always appropriate and always good-looking. Does the same apply to your interiors when it comes to pinstripe?
We definitely like seeing pinstripe used in interiors in bold and unusual ways. Like the above photos, pinstriped walls or pinstriped upholstery on furniture make a big statement, and lends to a streamlined, masculine look almost immediately.
We would personally stay away from more expected or easy places to bring in pinstripe. This bed cover and throw pillow are cute; we just don’t think it’s as sleek as pinstripe on the wall or on a furniture piece.
Also, pinstriped building!
