It’s about this time of year that a lot of color starts getting infused into our spaces. Reds, greens, golds, silvers, browns, oranges and more all become a big part of our interiors when the holidays are involved.
How can you be sure nothing clashes? Choose a paint color that makes everything “pop” and is something you won’t get bored with. Go with one of our favorite trends that seems to be here to stay: gray paint.
Remember when the idea of painting your walls gray was absurd? That was before someone bathed their rooms with heather gray hues and made us all swoon and run to the nearest Benjamin Moore store (or Sherwin Williams, etc…). Grays, when chosen correctly, are an amazing neutral that can be relaxing when light-colored and dramatic when used dark. We weren’t kidding about making things “pop,” either. All you have to do to believe us is look at some of the photos in this post to see that grays make bold colors sing, wood floors look like a million bucks and people look modern and fresh.

I love Grey walls. They’re so very calming without being either warm or cold. I had a very small closet sized bedroom this color. Thought I would despise it, turned out being the most relaxing bedroom I’ve ever had. May have been my imagination, but I swear I slept better than I ever have in that room, before or since.
