Etsy is one of our favorite websites for finding, purchasing and loving handmade items from folks all over the world. Handmade lovely things aren’t the only items available on this handy website, though; Etsy is also a great resource for fun Mid-Century Modern and contemporary modern home décor items. You just have to know where to look. As we mention in our Welcome to the new 2modern blog post, we’re here to curate all the fabulous items that are out there on the Internet, and that’s just what we’ll be doing with this weekly post. We’ll bring you those Etsy shops that we think are worth a look (or two or four) and that are filled with items we think 2modern readers would love. Today’s featured Etsy store: Fabulous Mess.
Maybe it’s that bright turquoise wall that forms the backdrop for the fun product photos, but any time we view Fabulous Mess’ Etsy shop we feel like we need everything in it! Featuring a healthy dose of Mid-Century Modern furniture and accessories from the 1950s through the 1970s, Fabulous Mess also rocks in our book for the fun Hollywood Regency style items they carry, as well. A few items in particular catching our eye today:
A 1970s Mid-Century Modern vintage Charles Pfister designed Knoll sofa
An adorable pair of vintage brass owl trays
A 1960s Timo Sarpaneva for Rosenlew lidded case iron pot
A 1960s Danish Modern teak bookcase
A pair of Hollywood Regency hanging lights
Got a favorite Etsy store selling their own fabulous mess of Mid-Century Modern and contemporary modern items? Willing to share the secret? Let us know in the comments and we just might feature it in a post!
