Not just your typical brown bag, these modern Bento boxes function as a container for that meal away from home. Some even have compartments within compartments to keep your food organized and eco-friendly. Imagine eating out of one of these sleek numbers. Not that the cartoon embellished or Disney princesses aren’t nice, I am just saying. I like their shape so much, I would use them for storing small things either in the kitchen or office.
For those of us who do not know, a Bento is a single-portion takeout or home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional bento consists of rice, fish or meat, and one or more pickled or cooked vegetables, usually in a box-shaped container which can range from mass produced products to handcrafted lacquer.
