During my vacation in Wilmington, NC this past week, I stumbled on the work of John W. Golden at the Golden Gallery in Historic downtown Wilmington.

The work is painterly, dramatic and modern.  I fell in love with his ‘Rovinato’ series for its depth and textural quality.  John uses a combination of photographs of urban textures and various subject matter to create a layered  piece that is moody and reflective.
