Architecture & Interiors
The drama of the entrance is evident as stairs lead up from the street to the house on a plateau. This Edge House was built to impress and to integrate the mountainside. As with several of the designs from the firm Jarmund/Vigsnæs AS Arkitekter MNAL, this house in a suburb south of Oslo, also makes use of extreme angles leaving one with a teetering feeling as slender steel columns secure the protruding edge into the hillside rock. Love the details of the concrete slabs riveted into the walls. Though strikingly balanced, definitely not for those with vertigo.
Have an infinitely modern day!
