On the Road.

Art & Design

Recently, my band of misfit friends and I are thinking about organizing a cross-country trip from DC to California. The main reason being that I have never successfully left the east coast of America and think that it is about time I witnessed the rest of our glorious country. Since most of my major life decisions are made as a result of seeing "signs" within the blogosphere, this decision is no different.

The awesome folks at The Heads of State have made my "America Here I Come" Tour official with there new line of US travel posters.

And my obvious favorite!

If you want to grab one of these – go visit The Heads of State shop.

Also, if you guys have done a cross-country trip… I would love to here stories, tips, and do's/don'ts.

Noting these cities you plan on visiting, driving to FL will hurt. It’s the biggest yawn fest to go down the East Coast. You should definitely break it up a bit.
Wifey and I drove from NJ down to Marco Island, FL last Summer. Then we hop stopped on the way back up. Definitely hit Savannah, GA for some good times and good eats. Definitely hit the Raleigh, NC. Good times!

Thanks Patrick! Yeah, we’ll probably skip Florida, Philly, and NY. I’ve got most of the east coast covered. Our first stop will probably be in Ohio then off to Chicago… but that’s all we have planned so far. Thanks for the tip – and I agree a trip from DC to Florida is brutal.
