Between the Sheets

My inner archi-geek is compelling me to share these beautiful images with you. Just the first step in a deliciously elaborate project by Bartlett School of Architecture student Thomas Hillier, these illustrations and collages are inspired by the work of renowned Japanese printmaker, Ando Hiroshige.

Entitled The Emperor's Castle, the project goes on to translate an imagined mythology into urban form with awe-inspiring results, even if just for the purely aesthetic appreciation for the complexity of the models.
