"The 111-year-old, Austin-founded firm has won the 2009 Texas Architecture Firm Award, given this last weekend in conjunction with the Texas Society of Architects convention in Houston. Larry Speck, FAIA, is the firm's design principal, and he's also a well-loved professor (and former dean) at the University of Texas, Austin. He has long been involved in envisioning Austin's future, from contributing to the Town Lake Master Plan in the 1980s, to designing the new airport in the 1990s, to designing both phases of the Convention Center."
