A few posts back I wrote about a “polite” umbrella, that squished up on each side so you could pass fellow umbrella-toters in the rain without bumping into them. I’ve often fantasized about a contraption that would make it so I could use an umbrella while carrying things in both hands (or at least an umbrella with a cup holder in the handler).
You can imagine my excitement when I found this posted on Swiss Miss. A Japanese umbrella shoulder holder!

Wow…someone was thinking outside the box. Or maybe I should say outside the umbrella! This is a great idea. Unless you live where the wind could come up and give you a bit of a lift! Or put your shoulder out of socket! :(
