Organic Architecture of Javier Senosiain

Architecture & Interiors

The Nautilus, designed by Javier Senosiain, was modeled from a shell and resembles, to me anyways, an ultra modern hobbit home you’d see in Lord of the Rings. Not only is the home lovely to look at with it’s curvacious design, bountiful interior plantlife and garden paths, but it’s built to last. Designed to withstand an earthquake, the structure consists of steel frames and thick concrete. Click here to see a video of the home.

It’s located in Mexico City. I’m not sure if anyone is living there, but it’s certainly livable!

Most of his houses are in Satelite, a northern neighborhood in Mexico City, and he usually rents them, he doesn’t sell them. The best that i’ve visited was Quetzalcoatl’s snake, an amazing amazing structure that holds about 20 units inside a snake-type building. Gaudi would die to live in one of these units.
