How to decorate a girly style bedroom?

I want to share a list of tips that will help you, if you want to decorate a full style bedroom for your daughter, or any lovely girl.  I found all the pictures on this sites: casapinka, bloesem and made by girl… by the way ;)

Walls & floors

- You can choose a pale color for the walls, or a full color wallpaper.  The difference is: the more light is the color (or decorations) of the walls, is the more stuff you can put on them, without saturating the result.  With "stuff" I mean wall furniture, frames, mirrors, etc.

- It doesn’t matter what kind of material have the floor (wood, carpet or ceramic), just don´t use a bright color or a complex graphic decoration on it, if you want to stand out other things of the decoration, like the furniture.  But, if you have all the furniture of the same color (white, for example) you can play with the design of the floor.

- Remember, light colors will make a big sensation of the space, and dark colors, the opposite effect.  You can play with a dark tone, if you have a big space to decorate.  Also you can paint just one wall with a different color, just for fun.

Furniture & decoration

- A nice and cheap idea is to buy (used) "retro" furniture and then paint it with new colors.  Remember that all the 70′s furniture are back again.

- Choose a beautiful print pattern textile and use it for the lamps, curtains, the bed cover, cushion and pillows.  Then you can add other textiles to match with it.

- Remember to put a little desk with a wall board.  The bedroom for a girl is not just a place to play and rest, is also a place to study in a comfortable way.

- Try to not mix materials and styles on the furniture.  If you do, use the same color for all of it.   Play with colors just if all the furniture have almost the same type of design.

- Don’t forget to put many places and surfaces to storage.  A bedroom is only pretty when all is in order.

- A good idea is to put wheels on the furniture, so it will be more easy to clean the room later.
