Austin’s 2nd annual salute to craft has come and gone, and crafters all over the country are already counting down until the next faire. Not just a celebration of the more traditionally thought of crafts, the Maker Faire throws together crafters of all kinds: knitters, seamstresses, jewelry-makers, artists—even robot builders. More than just fun in the sun (as everyone knows Austinites are experts at those sorts of activities), the faire really exists to promote the handmade and the pride in creating things on your own.
