Last week I was in San Franscisco for finals of Spark Awards 2008. I had entered one of my custom pieces. The beach end table. What I found fascinating was the different types of work that were submitted. there were products for the kitchen, computer monitors, actual pieces of furniture, architectual drawings for buildings and cardboard models. As an interior decorator it really interesting to see what people are creating and what will be coming up in the future. As a san diego itnerior designer, I felt honored to be one of the finalists.
The beach end table is eco-friendly. It is a table that is made of bamboo and is wrapped in raffia. I like working with raffia because it is a a reed that is grown all over the world.
