Small Space Advantage

Architecture & Interiors

It used to be that living in a small space evolved pity from friends,
family, and even strangers who generally felt that anyone living in
less than triple digit square footage must surely be suffering, either
from a lack of comfortable maneuverability or from seething jealousy of
well-endowed neighbors living large without any consciousness of paring down or
scaling back.

Back then, most of us avoided small spaces like they were a deadly
virus, even going so far as to sign up for elaborate financing schemes
that allowed us to qualify for huge spaces that we otherwise could
never obtain.

Fast forward to today, and who isn’t rethinking the bigger is better
seduction? Small is prudent. Small doesn’t have to be cramped or
uncomfortable, the proof: 25 Apartments and Lofts Under 1000 Square Feet
by James Grayson Trulove. This collection of small space
architectural and design marvels show how beautiful, creative and
expansive small spaces can be.
