Onitsuka Tiger Launches New Edition Sneaker

Img_logo The  Japanese sports shoe, Onitsuka Tiger, released a new edition of the Sonotore 72 sneaker based on their electric shoe sculpture used for their 2008 brand campagin, "Made of Japan."


The sculpture, literally a lit up oversized shoe, features a miniture microcosm of the hustle and bustle of Japan’s urban centers and is shaped like the iconic brand’s shoe.


Koi Klub member, Yogo Seiji, reinterpreted the sculpture into a drawing onto the shoes to represent the Toyko skyline and Onitsuka Tiger’s "Made of Japan," commercial.  See the ad here.


The shoe, available in black, red, and white, glows in the dark, and is available through ripe, although I can’t myself vouch for ordering through the website.
