Just came across the work of Oded Ezer, an Israeli typographic artist, logo, type designer, a lecturer and a typographic experimentalist. He has created numerous beautiful typographic art pieces in Hebrew and wants to expand his type experiments into English. Using a technique that he showcased in his previous work, titled The Fingers, Ezer has created a beautiful hommage to Milton Glaser.
My decision was to increase the number of works created in English, and
I thought I could start with a series of homages to (non-Israeli)
designers who I admire. The first name that came to my mind was the great Milton Glaser, whose I Love NY
logo is one of the things that stuck into my mind forever. It is simple
and direct, and I felt it will be still recognisable even if I’ll make
it more complicated.

We all know and love Glaser’s I ♥ NY, and now with Ezer’s touch it has been given a whole new dimension. What a nice hommage to a classic piece.

Who doesn’t love New York?! Interesting idea, I can appreciate the concept.
