It Matters

Modern Decor

I just discovered this online store called Matter, a while ago. In fact, I was actually searching for examples of mid-century-designed doll houses or evidence that such things were even being designed. Well, what I found is that the ones out there are quite expensive and constructed more for the design-minded adult than for a child.

This is what Matter had to offer:

Besides this doll-house by Christopher Robin Nordstrom, I was also to discover plenty unusual, some impractical, and a few pretty twisted objects available through this online and brick-and-mortar store in New York.

A limited edition giant sketch pad of 4,000 recycled sheets by Rob Peters that can be used as a table or as extra seating.

A realistic version of the piggy bank by Harry Allen.

The Superordinate 12 Antler Chandelier by Jason Miller.

Shoplifter bag
by CITIZEN:Citizen in the large size, of course!

A gold grenade oil lamp by Piet Houtenbos.

Matter and similar-stocked gift shops in big city museums will always make sure that items of this sort will never be scarce when it comes to gift giving. Well, at least as long as your wallet can keep up with them.

I really love this dollhouse! It is so hard to find contemporary/stylish dollhouses! As a San Diego Interior Designer I have clients that have kids and grandkids and they will love to give this gift!
