New on 2Modern, Offerors is straight out of Great Nordic Design, and sister to Designer's Eye. All glass crystal, these beautiful pieces will make any collection sparkle. The modern Construct Candelabra is strong and straight contrast to most round tableware. The Lightstones Votives are cute little glass skipping stones with a votive candle nestled inside. ducduc launches on 2Modern!

ducduc has made it to 2Modern just in time for 2008! This HUGE line of children's furniture and textiles is modern, playful and eco-friendly.  Creatively styled with modern colors and shapes, this children's line is a natural fit for 2Modern. The modern vibes of the cube pod and cube box add storage solutions that are fun too. The Parker armoire is a clever way to bring playful and modern into the kids room. Turn Over a New Leaf

Designed by Yves Behar for Herman Miller, the Leaf Light was the Gold Award winner at the Neocon Show in Chicago.  This advanced LED light sculpture is touch activated, and available in a variety of color options.

It All Began with Driftwood

The hand-crafted Kitchen Line from Skagerak of Denmark perfectly mixed centuries-old tradition with a modern flair.

"Skagerak Denmark is based on the love of wood, proud traditions of craftsmanship and respect for the sea and for the history of seafaring. The values and traditions absorbed from these sources have been crucial in all my family's endeavors, even as far back as the 19th century, when my great-great grandfather, Soren Mollebygger, built the first sawmills for sawing and working up the flotsam and jetsam of the shipwrecks, all too frequent at that time, on Skagen Odde. These raw materials provided the basis for the joinery skills for which Skagen is widely known and which live on in Denmark's carpentry traditions. Are You Feeling Blue?

Every year the Pantone Color Institute chooses a color of the year.
In 2007, chili pepper red was "the color". Blue Iris, pantone # 18-3943, is the color of the year for 2008.


Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Institute, said: “Blue Iris brings together the dependable aspects of blue, underscored by a strong, soul-searching purple cast. Emotionally, it is anchoring and meditative with a touch of magic.” The selection process is based on various influences and their final choice reflected a “need for thoughtfulness.”
Most high-end fashion designers and manufacturers tend to shy away from such broad predictions, much like they would with an “In and Out” list but mass market manufacturers and retailers pay attention to such forecasts on the premise that if blue is the “hot” color, they can make sure they have enough blue colored items in stock so they don’t miss the boat.
