Modern Kids' Food For A Modern Life

Food_20070918_pan_125x163

I swear our child's eaten Tofu Chicken Nuggets and Organic Frozen Peas for every supper since he was old enough to chew food.  I'm not kidding.  The ease of preparation (microwave) combined with his fear of new foods and the lack of time between work and bed (three hours) makes this the meal of choice.  Enter Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld.  Filled with recipes that hide good-for-them foods in between good-tasting-to-them foods, DD tries to help parents avoid food pitfalls like fat and sugar when trying to navigate the path between what your kid wants, what he needs, and what's humanly possible.  If clutter is your other nemesis, download an electronic copy from Powells - healthy kid and a clean house.  I love technology (and other smarter moms.)  PS.  The DD website offers up a a few sample recipes to get you started.
