Scholten&Baijings

Scholtenbaijings
When I was a student I always threw blankets over my couch to cover the ugly patterns from the second hand sofa my grandfather had given me for budget reasons. In an attempt to give it some grandeur we called it a ‘Grand foulard’. But these magnificent Colour Plaids by Scholten&Baijings  are something completely different and do not need any explanation…they are simply gorgeous and would give any ‘new’ or ‘old’ piece of furniture a new life. The Dutch couple Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings are Scholten&Baijings. They started their collaboration in 2000 and have done a lot of minimalist designs for the Dutch furniture company Gelderland.

The blankets are made of Merino wool and cotton, which makes them super soft! You can use them in countless ways: to wrap around yourself, lie beneath, decorate your bed or sofa, or give an old piece of furniture a new life.

These beautiful richly and vividly colored plaids will create a color explosion in your interior. The ‘Color Bombs’ can be purchased in five different designs and two sizes: 130 x 180 cm and 260 x 260 cm. For more information visit their website.
