Designing a Waiting Room
If I was a doctor. No wait...a principle. No scratch that, I didn't like that guy. If I owned a really cool space downtown and was so important that people needed to wait for me, I would have a design a modern waiting room that people maybe didn't want to leave.
"Mr. Smith, HE will see you now..."
"Uhm...just a few more minutes...and another espresso please."
Let me tell you where I would start: Moroso. First...very cool contemporary chairs are a must. Let's go with the GLUON by Marc Newson.
The seat and the back are in steel covered with injected flame-retardant polyurethane foam. The sides are in rigid polyurethane, grey lacquered. The basement is in steel, lacquered grey.
Get a couple of different colors. The couch, the chair and the ottoman...a MUST! I mean, let the people relax won't you!
Okay...next post, I will discuss the tables, then the lighting and then the magazines. Don't laugh. The reading material reflect who you are. Don't be a dork. Please.

moving locations of my dance school in NJ and came upon your site. Wow, what beautiful furniture, etc. I was looking for info on how to design a small waiting/office area for my new school, colors, walls, and where I might find fabulous, budget-friendly and space-conscious furniture in Manhattan. Can anyone help?
Thank you Yolanda
